Situated on the hillside between the pretty village of Agua de Pau and the
Atlantic Ocean. the Quinta do Mirante is a peaceful, private estate of twenty
five houses and a small modern aparthotel.

bedroom, all furnished and equipped in a thoroughly comfortable and up to
As would be expected in such a modern establishment, each
apartment has its own air-conditioning, cable television, direct dial telephones,
internet access and safety deposit box. The kitchenettes are well equipped
with a hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, so self-catering using fresh
local produce is no hardship. Many guests however choose to avail
themselves of the delicious breakfasts served in the hotel's coffee shop which
has panoramic views over the ocean.
Each apartment has a large furnished balcony overlooking the Atlantic, so
lazy days are just as enjoyable as those spent discovering all São
Miguel has to offer. Just down the lane from the hotel there are two large
swimming pools, one for adults and a shallow one for especially for children
and a communal tennis court. The area is ideal for walkers and boat trips,
horse-riding, fishing, whale-watching, fishing and even scuba diving can all be
arranged.
Although all the houses are privately owned some are available for rental at
certain times of the year and make an ideal base for those seeking all the
comforts of home. The houses are extremely spacious and have either two or
three bedrooms and are all very well furnished and equipped but of course
vary in decorative style. Each house has a good outside area to allow guests
to enjoy the mountain and ocean views and all residents have access to
exactly the same facilities as guests in the hotel.
