Peacefully
situated on the edge of the little town of Datca, Marphe is an attractively
designed small complex offering a choice of accommodation for both couples and
families. Plenty of natural stone was
used in the construction, which together with the whitewashed walls, the
pan-tiled roofs and the colourfully painted woodwork lends the exteriors an
enchanting Mediterranean appearance. Flowering shrubs and climbers and some imaginative decorative touches
add further to the visual appeal of the grounds.
The
interiors are equally tasteful and offer spacious accommodation and contemporary
comforts. There are fourteen suites,
which are offered on a bed & breakfast basis, each comprising an
air-conditioned double bedroom, a separate lounge with minibar, a large shower
room and a balcony or terrace.
Each
lounge has two sofa beds capable of sleeping two children comfortably. In addition, just a short stroll from the
suites, there are twelve spacious villas each arranged on two levels, with a
lounge complete with satellite TV, and kitchen (with washing machine) on the
ground floor and two air-conditioned bedrooms – each with its own balcony and
shower room – on the upper floor.
The
suites are arranged around an enticing, freeform swimming pool with an
adjoining jacuzzi and a paddling pool. Enjoying a snack or a cold drink from the pool bar, you will have the
opportunity to socialise with your fellow guests, whilst those seeking peace
and quiet can find their own tranquil corner in another part of the gardens,
where the small pine forest provides welcome shade.
In
the evenings, delicious Turkish cuisine is available at the Garden House
restaurant, housed in a handsome Ottoman-style building next to the pool. A wider choice of eating-places can be
found in the centre of Datca, approximately 30 minutes’ walk away.
A little further on you will also find the
picturesque harbour and the pebbly town beach, so a hire car is not essential,
although many guests prefer the convenience of one. For those wishing to explore
further afield, or simply wanting easy access to some of the many unspoilt
beaches either side of Datca, we are offering reduced car hire rates for guests
